L'OREAL Pure Clay Glow Mask- Review

We all wear masks, and the time comes when we cannot remove them without removing our own skin.

Hello Friends

welcome back to our slice of heaven,

Today I'm going to be telling you about the product that I'm convinced has improved my appearance of my skin.  I hate saying that one product has 'changed my skin' but this has. With a mixture of other products its made my skin go from very dull and dry with quite a few spots and blemishes, to a brighter complexion with less dry patches and a lot fewer spots.

L'OREAL Pure Clay Glow Mask

There are a three different masks. One for oilier skin, that quote ' Leaving skin purified and matte-looking without drying it out'. One for more blemish prone skin that quote 'Leaving the skin looking clarified and beautified without drying it out' and finally one for dryer skin ' The beaded, creamy texture illuminates tone by exfoliating the skin surface without drying it out'

With having really dry problem skin i chose the final mask which is the red one.

All the masks say they have pour minimising properties if used as suggested, twice to three times a week. I haven't found that to be true as to date.

I really enjoy using the mask i have found it super comfortable to wear unlike a lot of masks i have tired in the past this is a mask you wash off which iv never tried before so iv been very impressed so far.

An aspect of the mask that i really like is that it dries on the face without being drying out my skin, I really enjoy the fact i can do other things whilst the mask is on so I'm not waiting until i can wash it off i can carry one getting ready or cooking or cleaning whilst looking after my skin. My one problem which is a me problem is the fact i wear glasses full time and i can barely see anything with out my glasses, so its hard for me to relax and wear the mask but that cant be helped.

One thing that put me off the mask is the smell its very highly fragranced. It kind of reminds me of a nail bar or beauty salon. the smell doesn't linger which I'm grateful for.

The box says to leave the mask on for 5 to 10 minuets but its very easy to leave it longer than that without discomfort but that means its grate for girls night in to mix and match with your Friends and have the ultimate spa party.

One thing i find a little difficult is to remember to use it twice a week so making a apart of you routine is vital.

Over all i really enjoy the product it leaves my skin feeling amazing and i really recommend it if your having problems with your skin. If you want me to try products leave a comment and let me know also check out my Instagram @prettyandpaleblogger to be updated every time i post or just hit the follow button.

March TBR and February Wrap Up 2017

When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Hello Friends

Welcome to my February Wrap up and my March TBR and iv decided to write them together so its a longer blog. I will be doing my TBRs and Wrap Ups on the first of every month.

February Wrap up

So i have a confession. This month i have only read one book...

I read and finished Wonder By R.J. Palcio which is such a good book and on my Goodreads page i rated really high. But before i talk about how much i actually liked the book i will tell you why i didn't finish We Were Liars.

As much as i wanted to finish the book i just couldn't. I couldn't connect with the book or the characters. I bought this last summer and i wanted to read it before i went on holiday in June but i couldn't finish it i found it really slow. This is the furthest i got into the book at 63 pages. I know this book has got so many good reviews but it was really slow for me. I will definitely try to finish it but it might take me a while.

On to Wonder. I really really connected with the book not only with the main character August who has physical disabilities but with his sister Olivia. The feeling of being bullied because you look different is something i know too well but also the feeling of being unimportant and looked over which Olivia expresses during the second chapter i believe. One thing i actually really enjoyed is that each chapter is a different persons point of view its a nice change to see what the people around August feel when they first met him or as they develop their relationships not only with August but with their families and boyfriends/girlfriends. I think R.J. Palcio did a really nice job of showing different points of view and  really putting forward the feelings of each character...But out of anyone i would say Olivia is my favourite character and some of her feelings are so justified. For what she has to go through with Auggie i think shes so mature and brave, being older than her I'm not sure i would act as mature as she is in her situation.

I give this a 3.5 stars its a amazing book and i would recommend it to anyone especially in the 10-17 bracket. I was given this book when i was 14-15 and i think this a good time to read the book especially if you come from a small town much like me. In my town it was rare to see anyone who was of a different religion other than Christianity or a non believer so reading about people who have different backgrounds and come from different places to you is really nice to compare whats 'normal' to you and where your from to a different  'normal'

To be honest this was quite a quick read for me it look me about 8 days to finish the book.

March TBR

I'm super excited for this months TBR and this month I'm pushing myself I'm going to be reading 3 books to catch up on what i missed in February.

I will be reading 2 smaller books and 1 larger book.

I will be reading Harry Potter and the philosophers stone, I'm super excited about this I'm a huge Harry Potter fan being to the studios in London 4 times. I'm ashamed to say iv never read any of the Harry Potter books, when i was young my mum had all the books as they came out and as i was young i really struggled to read them and didn't bother after a couple of pages. The first and second book was published before i was born and the third book was literally published 2 months after i was born. But I'm super excited to get reading this book just because i love the films and i love the Harry Potter world.

The second book is a classic and i only heard about this book because of the type of TV shows i watch mentioned the Dr Jekyell and Mr Hyde affect and i had to look it up and ever since i have been so interested and i now I'm getting to read it. I'm so interested in this book and I'm really looking forward to reading it.

Finally I'm super excited to read 13 Reasons Why. Its soon to be a Netflix show but i first heard about it on book tube and i got super interested. I really enjoy reading about mental illness and understanding other peoples illnesses. This is a book about a girl who commits suicide and from what i understand she left a tape or a dairy telling her family and friends the 13 reasons why she killed herself.

So this is my Wrap up of February and my TBR for March and I'm really excited for this month. Let me know what you've read in February and what you plan for March. If you have any books you recommend leave a comment and let me know or follow the blog to never miss a upload. If you want me to talk about anything leave a comment or tweet me @p_a_pblog and to be the first to see what iv gotten up to follow my Instagram. Let Me Explain...Update

Fail fail again fail better.

Hey guys

Long time so see...

I kind of just want to explain whats going on in my life and on my blog right now. So since the new year you have have noticed my blog has been kind of slow and when i do post its about books rather than beauty or hair which is what my blog is based on. I just want to explain myself and talk to you guys about whats been going on.

My anxiety has been getting the better of me recently and that has made we want to start reading more. My anxiety has been based around the unknown. I have social anxiety and recently its been more of a generalised anxiety and i think that has been based around me 'coming of age'. I have a big birthday coming up and i think the 'becoming a adult' and actually needing to know what I'm going to be doing with my life, i feel so much pressure to actually know what it is I'm going to do with my life. Its hard to know, I'm such a indecisive person but I'm also such a dreamer. There's so much i want to do before i die that I'm just so unsure where to start.

I feel like its more of a situational depression and that comes from a issue in my family or maybe Atypical depression but I'm no doctor so don't take my word for it.

My sudden interest in books comes from the fact they give me some release and a escape which is what i want... to get away from my anxiety which iv suffered from for about 4 years so having something that makes me relax is something i crave. I know so many people love and have a passion for books so i want to connect to all kinds of people.

I want to try posting more in the up coming months. I want to try posting more about mental health, makeup, skin and hair care, book updates, movies and fitness so let me know what you all want to see.

Starting the 1st of March i will be posting Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Thanks for sticking with me guys and here's to many more posts

Much love, speak soon
