Give a woman the right lipstick and she can conquer the worldHello darlings,
welcome to day 6 of 14 days of makeup its going so fast! today I want to show you my 50s inspired lip look.
I started this look with my face. I first applied a matte primer by LOreal Paris. Then applied my colour correcting concealer on any redness and on my under eyes. I then covered my face in my day- time foundation which gives me a uplifting look and a nice amount of coverage which is rimmel London's match perfecting foundation. I then use the darkest colour in my favourite contour and concealer palette using it on my temples, jaw and cheek bones. I continue to go over the contoured areas very lightly with a powdered contour. I finished my face finally with translucent powder
I continued to fill in my eyebrows, using an eyebrow powder by W7
For eyes I wanted to go quite natural with nude/cream/golden colour. I first started by blending 'texture' by MAC in my crease and up. Then 'Honesty' by MAC on my lid, applying in a patting motion to gain the most colour and to get the shadow to last longer. To blend the two colours together I used 'Wedge' by MAC, to give it a multitoned look as well as a golden look. I also went over 'Wedge' with a small amount of 'Stable' by MAC on a fluffy brush. I used the tape method to get a nice clean look on the eyeshadow and eyeliner. The eyeliner I'm using is by LOreal Paris I paired this look with a small flick cat eyeliner look I also put eyeliner on my waterline however I blended it out to give a Smokey look on my bottom eyelid. I then applied my mascara which is by MAYBELLINE I then paired this with natural lashes however this look still looks really nice without the fake lashes and the eyeliner.
Finally the best part of the look, the lips. my favourite lip colour is red so I really like this look. I first used a lip primer by NYX I then used a lip pencil in the shade 'burgundy' by MAC with a bright red lipstick by rimmel London in the shade 'Alarm'.
I then finished the look with a setting spray by NYX
Much love speak soon
