Disneys Nightmare before christmas, Jack Skellington

just because I cant see it doesn't mean I cant believe it- jack skellington
Hello my little nightmares

Today I had so much fun recreating a movie favourite of mine, nightmare before Christmas' jack skellington. however I wanted to make this a more feminine jack skellington
This look did take a lot of time, and effort and from personal experience you really need good paint. I got a palette full of different colours of body paint and it looked really good as you cans see in the pictures however washing it off destroyed my skin as I had to scrub, and scrub hard to try and get the paint off the skin.

I didn't want to do the everyday Jack Skellington I wanted to make the a feminine jack, with Smokey eye and painted on a dress similar to his lovers dress in the film

I'm going to start with the face however you can start with the eyes first to prevent any fall out, as iv mentioned before that white body paint on my skin doesn't actually make any difference to my skin tone so I applied about six cotes of white paint all over my face.

Because I have dark eyebrows I went over with them a few times with body paint and they came out like this however in the film jack has got thin black eyebrows if you want to mimic this you defiantly can.

For contour I only did my cheek bones taking a small amount of black eyeshadow on a fluffy brush lightly feathering it on my cheek bones then instead of blending it up into the hairline which you would with normal contouring I blended it down and because of how much white face paint was used it did turn grey which isn't what I planned however I liked it better grey then black.

As for lips I got a black body paint and starting drawing a line from my cheek to the corner of my mouth and did the same with the other side of my mouth, I then filled in my lips with black body paint, because of my lip piercing being silver I painted over it. I then started drawing lines down across my lips and the lines making them vary in size, width and distance. I did this quite messily just to give it a bit more of a rugged look

For eyes I did the same steps as I did in my Smokey eye tutorial as I took the photos on the same day. I used a caramel/ camel colour to my crease and blending it up. I then drew my eyeliner pencil applying it on my lid, I then applied a black eyeshadow and continued to blend it up into the caramel/ camel colour to demolish any harsh lines. I chose to apply eyelashes that already had a flick attached. I applied the eyelashes after I did my mascara. I also dragged the black eyeshadow to my waterline and around that area before using a gel eyeliner on my water and tight line. (for full tutorial click here)

For the look of a thin, spine like neck I filled in my neck in leaving a thin portion and later filling it in white. However looking back on the pictures I filled my chest in with too much black where as I should have filled it in white instead of going from the point in the neck, diagonally I shouldn't have gone as far down as I did however after filling your shoulders and outer neck in black I wanted to paint on a dress. With any random colour you want and painting any Patten you want on the dress I painted stitches down the dress and a patch work on the chest.

I paired this with a black beanie to cover my hair and to give my head more of a rounded look
Day 5 of 14 days of makeup I wasn't a huge fan of the way iv done this look however this isn't the worst iv done :') come back tomorrow to see a more natural look. This is such a fun look for a fancy dress party.
