I solemnly swear I'm up to no good
Hello Darling
Welcome back to our little part of makeup heaven
This is my Christmas shopping Do's and Don'ts.
My friends, Christmas shopping is not something i enjoy. I don't like the hassle and bustle of the crowds. I don't like the trying to think of presents for people i haven't seen in over six months and the only things we have in common is our pets. But one thing i really enjoy is the happiness in the air, the cold (something i feel so often especially in the UK) and the decorations. Something about this mix makes the country go mental.
But i have 5 simple rules to follow to make Christmas shopping easy and as painless of possible.
Rule 1
Go Shopping in November.
Yes i know it sounds like I'm a little eager but Christmas starts earlier and earlier each year. My towns Christmas lights turned on this weekend just gone and this is the best way to beat the crowds and to still get the little Christmas feeling (and the hot chocolate) in your shop.
Rule 2
Make the most of the offers.
Shopping online or in store the offers and discounts are our best friends. I have student discount in a lot of stores but i also use the offers in stores and online. Black Friday and Cyber Monday is right around the corner make the most of the discounts because they all add up. I got the majority of my Christmas shopping done in one store, Boots have a 3 for 2 on all gifts so i got six gifts for only £40.
Rule 3
Always make a list
I'm the worst person for not making a list and forgetting someone or i go out the intent to buy people gifts and i end up buying stuff for myself or just not buying anything that i came out for so making a list is always so much better when going out for things you need not just this time of year but all year around.
Rule 4
Do things you want to do last
If like me you have one shop that you love and always go into do it last! I'm so bad for going into a shop and spending so much money in one store and end up getting people things they don't always want. So don't go into 'your' shop first do it last any look around for the perfect gift
Rule 5
Minimalism is just as good as anything else.
I love giving. I give more gifts at Christmas then i should, i just love to give people things they can use and will love. So if you know a Minimalist or someone who lives in a small apartment or their bed room is small and they don't have a lot of space, practical things that they need or need replacing or days out. I always love giving people IOY Afternoon Tea, iv done this a few times and especially if someone isn't in town much so you don't see them this is the perfect way to spend time with your loved one.
So this is my way to get gifts at the holiday season i hope you guys get some tips on making the most of your Christmas shopping experience, if you think someone you know needs to read this don't forget to share this post. If you want me to talk about anything leave a comment or tweet me @p_a_pblog and to be the first to see what iv gotten up to follow my Instagram.
